More details have emerged surrounding the DWI arrest of UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones on May 19, as well as a history of accidents involving the 24-year-old.

According to a report from Loretta Hunt at SI.com, citing a police report from the accident, Jones had two 25-year-old female passengers, Michelle L. Vojtisek and Cara Johnson, in the vehicle with him at the time of the crash. Johnson attended Union-Endicott High with Jones. Both passengers sustained "cuts, bruises and swelling" from the accident and were taken to Wilson Hospital.

The arresting officer wrote that Jones had "slurred speech and glassy bloodshot eyes," and that he smelled of alcohol and was unsteady on his feet when he exited the vehicle. He refused a sobriety test, as well as a breathalyzer test, and after he was taken into custody no toxicology test was done with no serious injuries at the scene.

Also per the report, the accident appeared to be caused by Jones miscalculating a turn.

In addition to this arrest and one previously reported from November of 2011 in New Mexico, the SI.com report also revealed that Jones has been involved in several multi-vehicle accidents. One came in January 2011 in New Mexico, with two in New York in December of 2008 and January of 2009, respectively. Though he was not found at fault for any of the accidents, he was cited for "unlawful passing" in the 2009 crash, with his fiancee, Jessie Moses, and a newborn infant in the vehicle. Jones and Moses have two daughters.

Jones plead guilty to misdemeanor DWI this week from this arrest, though a plea deal will see him avoid any jail time. He will defend his UFC Light Heavyweight Championship against Dan Henderson on Sept. 1 at UFC 151.

Penick's Analysis: This paints a really bad picture for Jones. He was driving while intoxicated at five in the morning with two women - who both happen not to be his fiancee - while said fiancee was at home with his two children. Not only that, but he's 24-years old and has been involved in four crashes and has been arrested twice on charges related to driving. Again, this points to Jones really needing to make a turnaround in his lifestyle, because to date he's been acting like an untouchable star athlete. That mindset is only going to lead to more trouble, and it's up to him to make a change. Also, he should never be behind the wheel of a vehicle; ever. It's fairly apparent he's not a good driver.
