UFC reportedly eying March 24, 2012 return to Montreal

The UFC has run an event at Montreal's Bell Centre four times since 2008, but with a focus on Canada's newly opened market to the sport in Toronto, the attention shifted away from Quebec. However, they may be returning early in 2012, as "Showdown" Joe Ferraro reports that the UFC is rumored to be bringing a pay-per-view event to the Bell Centre on March 24.

The UFC's last trip to Montreal came in December of 2010 with UFC 124, where Montreal native Georges St-Pierre defended his Welterweight Championship against Josh Koscheck. Prior to April's UFC 129 card at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, the Bell Centre had held the attendance record for a UFC event.
