Bellator 56 Results: Ben Askren edges split decision over Jay Hieron; Santos, Prindle advance to heavyweight finals

Ben Askren barely held onto his Bellator Welterweight Championship on Saturday night, taking a split decision victory over Jay Hieron after 25 minutes of action at Bellator 56. In other action on the night's card on MTV2, Thiago Santos and Eric Prindle punched their tickets to the season five heavyweight finals with a pair of quick wins. Santos submitted Neil Grove in :38 seconds, while Prindle knocked out Ron Sparks in :40 seconds. The two will now square off in the finals at Bellator 59 on November 26. Full results are below:
