QUOTABLES: Carlos Condit's trainer feels Georges St-Pierre injury may be "blessing in disguise"

"Maybe it's a blessing in disguise. We had a game plan. We felt real good with it, but Chris Luttrell and I were talking about some things we'd like to see Carlos do, but we figured it was too late to even try to implement those things because the fight's coming up and you can only fill your fighter's head with so much information. In a way, now we can come up with a couple of more things to put us in a couple of better positions for this fight."

-Carlos Condit's trainer Mike Winkeljohn talks to Sherdog.com and expresses some optimism that Georges St-Pierre's injury could prove beneficial to Condit's chances in their eventual title showdown.

Penick's Analysis: This was something that popped to mind immediately when it was revealed Condit would be waiting for his title shot. Because he was switched to this fight in the middle of his camp for Penn, it would be unreasonable to believe that they'd have been able to implement everything they wanted to put together for a matchup with St-Pierre. Now that he'll have more time to develop his gameplan and have his trainers work some more things specific to a fight with St-Pierre, he very well could fare even better than he may have otherwise. I'd have to imagine that Winkeljohn and company will be able to have Condit as prepared as he'd ever be able to be for this fight now, and I can't wait to see how a fully prepared Condit does fare against a fully prepared St-Pierre.
