Gilbert Melendez vs. Jorge Masvidal targeted for December

An expected lightweight title bout between Strikeforce champ Gilbert Melendez and Jorge Masvidal has been targeted for Dec. 17.

Sources close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com of the date, though a city and venue has yet to be confirmed.

Melendez makes the third defense of his Strikeforce title while Masvidal get his shot after impressive back-to-back victories.
