ProElite resurrected, announces Aug. 27 event in Hawaii

ProElite Inc., a mixed-martial-arts company that formerly promoted events under the EliteXC banner, is under new ownership and has announced an Aug. 27 event in Hawaii.

As MMAjunkie.com reported earlier this year, Stratus Media Group assumed control of the company.

With the recent hiring of former Strikeforce matchmaker Rich Chou and former SuperBrawl/ICON Sport owner T. Jay Thompson, a show is planned for Neal S. Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu.
